Library Shelving with a difference for The UCD Graduate School of Business

The UCD Graduate School of Business is Ireland's top business school, one of the best in Europe and ranked among the highest in the world. Recently the school decided to upgrade their library and move to a new building.

Storage Systems Ltd. was chosen to provide a storage solution for this new library. In total, over 150 bays of System FG Library Shelving were installed in the new library. All bays were 2100mm high x 900mm long each with 5 shelf levels 300mm deep plus a top canopy. In one area of the library we installed special display and storage shelves which consists of a flat shelf plus a tilted shelf which can be lifted to allow access to periodicals or magazines stored behind.

To blend in with the furniture and decor, beech decorative panels were installed at the end of each row. Another unique feature is the integrated overhead lighting which is fitted to the top of the canopy shelves.
