PricewaterhouseCoopers scores with Compactus Electro

PricewaterhouseCoopers is the largest professional services firm in Ireland providing top class integrated assurance, tax and advisory solutions across all industries and markets in Ireland and internationally. Recently PWC moved to a state of the art new building at Spencer Dock located in Dublin’s Dockland area. The new building occupies over 22,000 square metres over nine floors and houses over 2,000 employees.

Storage Systems Ltd. was awarded a €200,000 contract to install Compactus® Electro mobile shelving on several floors throughout the building. In one area the mobile bases are 9m. long and move effortlessly by simply pressing the touch pad control on the front of the shelving.

Safety is paramount and all mobile bases are fitted with photocells located on the bottom of the mobile base. If the light beam from the photocell is broken by the operator or an obstruction in an aisle, all movement is automatically stopped. Other special features include the installation of pull-out shelves in every aisle and all units are fitted with maple decorative panels to harmonize with the surrounding office environment.
