Storage Solution for Cognex Cork

Cognex Corporation is the world’s leading provider of vision systems, vision software, vision sensors and surface inspection systems used in manufacturing automation. Cognex recently expanded its international manufacturing and distribution centre in Cork and has moved into a new warehouse facility at the Gateway Business Park in the City.

Cognex awarded Storage Systems Ltd the contract to provide a complete storage solution for this new facility. 150 bays of HI-280 Shelving 2.3m high x 1000mm wide x 600mm deep with 8 shelf levels for storing boxes were installed in conjunction with a gravity and powered roller conveyor system which transports boxes to the despatch area for shipping.

30 bays of P90 Pallet Racking 6m high were installed for the storage of palletized goods which is serviced by forklift trucks. The rear of the pallet racking was fitted with Anti-Collapse Mesh Screen.

Overall, Cognex Cork were very satisfied with this storage solution designed by Storage Systems Ltd.
