Storage Systems awarded Mobile Shelving Fit out Contract for OPW's New HQ Trim

The Office of Public Works recently awarded Storage Systems Ltd the contract to supply and install Compactus Electro Mobile Shelving at their new Headquarters in Trim, Co. Meath. The contract was worth in excess of €200,000.00

In total 460 bays of Compactus Electro Mobile Shelving 2.6m high were installed at 7 different locations throughout the building. The installations in the basement are fitted with steel decorative panels while the installations on the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Floors which are in open plan area’s and are finished with 6mm white glass decorative panels on all sides.

To ensure operator safety all mobile bases are fitted with infra red light beams which immediately stop the movement of the mobile bases if they come in contact with an operator or obstruction in an aisle.

As part of the contract Storage Systems Ltd was also responsible for re-inforcing all of the existing raised access floors to ensure they could safely support the additional weight of the fully laden mobile shelving.

Overall, the OPW is delighted with the final solution, which provides a modern, efficient and safe storage solution which blends in perfectly with the office decor.
