Storage Systems was awarded the contract to supply, commission, and install 3 Dexion Tornado Vertical Storage Machines. The Dexion Tornado Storage Machines are installed side by side within the warehouse. Each automated machine is 11m high x 4.5m wide x 3m deep with 64 trays for the storage of pharmaceutical samples picked via the PC Controlled vertical lift system.
Our control unit TC1200 shows the position of the trays in the machine on the display. Whenever the lift is moving, the operator is able to follow the movement of the tray. Also, the TC1200 control unit always guides the operator using the machine to avoid improper use of the Tornado. The Tornado runs on an industrial PC enabling several benefits such as clear high-resolution graphics on a big colour monitor that comes as a standard while all programs run on the Windows operating system Tornado which is easily connected to a local area network.
